- Heath Ledger won the Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as the Joker. Christopher Nolan accepted on his behalf, saying "All of us who worked with Heath on ‘The Dark Knight’ accept this with an awful mixture of sadness but incredible pride."
- At the awards, MTV asked Aaron Eckhart about a topic that will probably never be settled, the fate of Two-Face:
Though in previous interview, Eckhart said otherwise, he seems to avoid ever saying that Dent is really dead this time, which I'm sure will get Two-Face fans excited. - And Ledger also a Critic's Choice award, whatever that is.
