Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Alberto Falcone

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has long been rumored to be joining the Dark Knight Rises cast, but until today we didn't know who he'd be playing. Now, everyone seems certain that he is playing Alberto Falcone, the son of Carmine Falcone from Batman Begins. Most sources for this news include plenty of spoilers for what happens to Falcone in The Long Halloween comic (like Variety's article). If you want the whole spoiler-filled background on Alberto Falcone, you can click here.

Luckily for me, the first 25 years of Batman only have about 3 running comics (Batman, Detective Comics, and the third one varies), which means about 30-35 stories each year. Doesn't really start getting crazy until the mid-sixties.

I suppose if I had the time I could do a post every day, a year each month, twelve years each year, and be done with the first third in just two years. But I do have a life outside the blog, so it'll probably take more like ten.

hey man thanks for putting up the link to the Batmobiles it would be unreal if Nolan went with the original Batmobile design or the one of the designs with the face of the batmask on the front of the car.
I agree with u on the Alberto Falcone idea ,I think it would round off the Nolan series perfectlly for batman to finish with a fight with a Falcone family head personally as in Batman Begins scarecrow finishes him off by putting Carmine Falcone in Arkham.

@Kyu: It took me about 2 years to read all the major post-Crisis Batman stuff, and I had no life at the time and wasn't stopping to write up blog posts every storyline.

So all I can say is good luck. And I'm not caught up on your blog yet, but I'm enjoying the read.

@disco3: I love the Batmobiles with the mask on the front, but there's just no way that ends up in one of Nolan's movies. I wouldn't be surprised if it was closer to the Dark Knight Returns tank style.
